Good day! I am Jimmy, and my goal is to help you lead practically while putting your principles into practice so you can make an impact on the world around you.
I am the co-author of the acclaimed book Faith Acts: A Provocative Call to Live What You Believe.
I currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer for the Chattanooga Community Kitchen (CCK), one of the largest nonprofit, social service agencies in the Southeast United States. I am also the founder and former Executive Director of Relevant Hope, an outreach organization that provides on-site service to the homeless in the greater Chattanooga area.
Educationally, I received my B.S. from Tennessee Temple University and a Master of Ministry from Temple Baptist Seminary. I am currently working on a Ph.D in Leadership from Piedmont International University with a concentration focus on organizational management.
As a writer and author, I have produced work ranging from leadership to Christian apologetics. I am in demand as an expert in leadership and social services among the homeless. I have been featured on CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, their local media outlets, and several radio and print news media. My personal writings have been published on BeliefNet and Activist Faith, and I has written numerous articles for the popular question and answer website GotQuestions.org, many of which are featured on this website.
I specialize in using relational style of service that is based on getting to know a person first and then using their unique set of circumstances to find the best means for helping them transition into a stable living situation. This philosophy of service is based on my belief that all people are equally worthy of dignity, honor, and respect because of their intrinsic value as image bearers of God.
I am always in demand for news interviews, writing, consulting, and public speaking engagements.
When I am not speaking, writing, and working, I am at home with my wife of over 15 years, Shay, and our two boys in Chattanooga, TN.
